And The Saints Came Marching In...

Hi everyone! I feel like it has been forever since I did an outfit post, but really it has only been about 5 days... Ooh ok, I guess that IS a pretty long time. So sorry for the tiny hiatus, things were so crazy over the Christmas weekend... so crazy that I didn't even have any time to take pictures of my outfits... UGH! I probably should be kicked out of the blogging society because who doesn't take pictures on their holiday outfits... Umm yeah, that was kind of a prime picture taking event. Oops! Can you all forgive me? I promise I will be better on New Year's...
On a good note, I did manage to take an outfit picture today. Yay!

I didn't get too many new items for Christmas...besides some new tights to add to my collection (now I have pretty much every color of the rainbow)... but I did decide to look at my wardrobe in a whole new light. I thrifted this skirt a few months back, but never knew what I wanted to wear with it... today, I decided to try my luck and build an outfit around it. I took my marching band jacket (that I love so much more than I ever thought I would), my new olive green ribbed tights, my new suede boots, and an olive green tee underneath (alright, alright.. I got a few new things, but the boots are a present from "me" to "me"). I love, love, love how it came out!! I do feel like a member of the marching band though, but I still love it. I just think everything came together nicely and since this skirt is a little big; I added my black elastic belt.
How perfect does the gold buckle go with the jacket?!

What do you think of my new boots?
They are the most comfortable boots I have owned in a while... and being 4" heels that is pretty impressive.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that Santa was good to you! Any fun and exciting plans for NYE? I can not believe this decade will be over in a few days... 10 years sure flies by when you are having fun....

Green with Envy

In honor of the Christmas season, I thought it was the perfect time to wipe out my green cardigan that I bought on Black Friday at NY &Co.

As you guys know, I fell in love with this cardigan as soon as my eyes laid on it; instantly grabbed it and headed straight towards the register. The flower detail on the shoulder is so lovely and makes it such a gorgeous item to have in my closet.
I wore it with a simple black and white long sleeve tee, zipper skinny jeans, and my creme ankle strap heels. I love these shoes, but they are a killer... at least they only hurt towards the end of the day. Actually, I don't care if they hurt all day long; I love them too much not to wear them.
That's fashion for you! LOL

My Outfit:
Green Cardigan: NY & Co. $20
Black and White Tee: Forever 21 $9.50
Zipper Jeans: Forever 21 $12
Shoes: Forever 21 $13
Total: $54.50

Also, on a side note... I would let to give a BIG thank you to Christina from Fabulocity in Amish Country for presenting me with the Beautiful Blogger award.
You are so sweet and completely made my whole day! :)

You know how it goes:

1. I am obsessed with UFC fighting. I watch the fights every time they are on Pay Per View and I can't wait until August when the fight comes to Boston. All the guys at work are shocked I love such a violent sport, but I really do. I even school them when we talk about it. LOL

2. I never crave sweets or salty things, but I do crave actual meals. It will be 11 o'clock at night and I will all of sudden be craving lasagna or steak... yeah I have issues.

3. Even though I hate the cold, I have a weird obsession with coats and jackets. I buy at least 2 new ones a year and this year I bought 4- oops!

4. I love Reality TV- especially Big Brother and Amazing Race- I am obsessed!

5. I can never have enough shoes... but then again, what girl can?

6. My favorite day of the week is Thursday, but I really have no idea why. Some reason I just love Thursdays.

7. My boyfriend and I met in Vegas when we both were out their for a Bachelor/Bachelorette Party, but we are both from Boston and have mutual friends that we never knew we had. How funny is that? So, see what happens in Vegas, does NOT always stay in Vegas.

I pass this award onto all my new found Boston Bloggers because a girl should never forget where she came from and it is nice to know that Boston too has so many wonderful and stylish bloggers. Yay! And thanks again Christina, you ROCK! If you haven't checked out Christina's blog, please do... she is absolutely fabulous... and p.s. she has the most amazing shoes!

Bundle Up, It's Snowing

Winter is officially here and it came in with a BANG!
Snow, Snow, Snow, Snow, Snow... and more Snow...
Ok, a little exaggeration, but Boston did get about 12 inches or so of snow on Sunday. I must admit though, even though I am not the biggest fan of snow, there is something magical about the first snow falls of the season that makes you just have to love. These are the times when I can't wait to have kids because kids find a whole new world when it snows that adults miss out on...

Call me crazy, but even though it was still freezing cold and icy outside yesterday, I felt like wearing a skirt. I did bundle up though because... I don't know if you heard me... it is FRIGID out. Yup, crazy...told you!
I paired my navy printed skirt with my corduroy blazer, a simple grey turtleneck, thick navy tights (for warmth) and my "killer" brown booties (Ok, the booties where just for inside... I wore my rain boots to go to work- didn't really want to kill myself).
This outfit actually kept me super warm... I even thought about taking off the blazer I was so hot.

Today, I am meeting up with some old friends after work to go to the Celtics game, so I wore my Ruffled Shoulder sweater from H&M, skinny jeans, wedge brown boots, and my DIY multi-chain statement necklace. I am so bad when it comes to casual dressing and still looking stylish, but I think I did a good job today. (Sorry, no outfit picture though (running super late), but if I have time when I get home tonight I will make sure to take one).
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Monday's Outfit:

Corduroy Blazer: H&M $15

Gray Turtleneck: TJ Maxx $9

Skirt: Forever 21 $15

Navy Tights: Ebay $7

Booties: Forever 21 $26
Total: $72

Go Heart Your Own City

Remember a few posts back when I created an outfit using Polyvore and found the
"Go Heart Your Own City" tee from dELiAs.
Well...
Great News... I found it for half the price at Forever 21...
Yup, good old Forever 21 came through again!
Ahh..YES, I know I put myself on a shopping hiatus... and YES, I know I don't really need this tee, but honestly, I just couldn't pass it up...
It is just too darn cute!

I don't even care that it is frigid outside or the fact that we may or may not get 6 inches of snow this weekend... I am just loving my new fabulous tee. hehe

I went for the casual look because, well, it was Friday. I wore my bell bottom jeans, my olive cardigan, and my wedge chestnut heels from Steve Madden. To add a little bit of class to the outfit, I added my multi-stand statement necklace that I was graciously given my an Ebay seller. Perfect accessory, I think...

So, tell me... what are your plans this weekend?
Anything exciting?
Or just finishing up some last minute Christmas shopping (not like shopping is not exciting because we all I know that is one of the most exciting things I do in my life hehe)?
Not too much going on with me, I don't think... I am going to get my oil changed tomorrow in my car (and pray that is all that gets down)... then my boyfriend and I are going to the Enchanted Village at the Jordan's furniture store in Avon, Ma.
(The Enchanted Village is this HUGE Christmas display. It is kind of like those displays you used to see in the malls with the mechanical mannequins dressed up as vintage carols and stuff- it is amazing and so magically. I can't wait to go!).
Then I am hoping we will go to the movies to see the new Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker movie, "Did You Hear About the Morgans?"
Umm, wow, I guess I am busier than I thought.. LOL

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! xoxo

My Outfit

Olive Cardigan: Forever 21 $9.50
"Go Heart Your Own City" Tee: Forever 21 $10.50
Jeans: Mossimo Target $20
Wedges: Steve Madden Macy's $30 (long time ag0)
Necklace: Free from Ebay
Total: $70.00

Oh and p.s. I really do "Heart" My Own City- Love Boston! :)

Cold, Cold, Cold, Cold, Cold

It was way too cold this morning to wear anything, but a big layered sweater.
BRR!! Not liking this one bit!!
You may have noticed, I have this secret obsession with flannel and I can't stop wearing it.
I think it just adds that little bit of something extra to a casual outfit.
Today, I paired it under my new cobalt blue sweater from H&M (I picked it up after the Boston Blogger Mixer. Thanks Davita for the great suggestion!). I rarely wear any other color jeans besides dark blue ones, but today I decided to wear my dark grey jeans with my chestnut "OVTK" boots. I know this is not the most stylish outfit, but I don't think it came out half bad and it is pretty warm... two thumbs up for that!

AHH!! Can you believe Christmas is 9 days away... EEK!! CraZiness!!
How is your shopping going?
Mine has been done for a while (thank God for online shopping) except for minor things here and there. However, my boyfriend's present hit a bit of a snag today. I ordered him a Customized Winter Classic Bruins Jersey for the game against the Flyers on New Year's Day (that he is lucky enough to be going to) ...this was the only thing he wanted. Well, I received an email this morning from the NHL Pro Shop telling me it is backed ordered til January 7th.
Umm...excuse me?!...
How do you sell a jersey that is designed to be worn for a game that happens only once a year; all in different cities; against different teams; and have it be backed ordered???
Oh and mind you, I ordered this jersey a month ago today. Yup, a month...
pre-ordered and everything!!
Ugh, I can not begin to tell you how mad I am. I am thinking of going to the Bruins Pro Shop and buying a blank jersey and bringing to an embroidery place and have them put the player my boyfriend wants on it. Do you think they could do that?
Oh man, I don't know....

Anyways, sorry for the rant...
I hope you all had a better day than me... and are having an amazing week!
Yay, two more days til the weekend!! :)

My Outfit

Blue Sweater: H&M $25

Red Plaid Flannel Shirt: Forever 21 $15

Gray Skinny Jeans: Forever 21 $12

Boston Blogger L♥VE

Hey everyone! Sorry, I am such a bad blogger this week. I have no idea why...I mean I have been busy with getting ready for the holidays, but nothing too crazy. Anyways, I promise to be better. :)
So, how was every one's weekend? I hope you all had a fantastic one. Mine was amazing!

On Saturday, Punky Style, JenLovesKev, and New Brahmin hosted a Boston Blogger Mixer at Luna Boston on Newbury Street and words can not describe how wonderful it was. I was in awe to see how many amazing Fashion Bloggers are located right here in my own beloved city.

Here is all of us mingling and getting to know each other. I was so nervous at first to meet everyone, but it was so relaxing and easy to talk to everyone. All the girls were so incredibly sweet and friendly. I loved finding out about every one's blogs and interests.... and just genuinely getting to know each other. I especially loved meeting all the girls I was acquainted with already like Sarah, Punky, Jen and Julie.

This picture was taken courtesy of Jen's husband, Kev.

Thank God too because I was so nervous I forgot to take outfit pics before I left.

It is funny, I create my outfits every day for this blog, but nothing was more nerve-racking then trying to think of something to wear for this event. OMG, the pressure! I finally decided on black leggings, knee boots, and my thrifted white vintage sweater with my plaid shirt underneath (for warmth). My hair was not cooperating, so it got pulled back in small (and I do mean SMALL) low ponytail. I wasn't completely satisfied with my outfit, but I did get some major compliments on my sweater and I was warm, so all and all I was pretty happy.

Here are some pictures of some other adorable bloggers I had the privilege of meeting:
(everyone was so impeccably dressed, I am just sorry I couldn't post a picture of all the girls)

Chloe from Walking in Heels

Davita from Dita's Style Buffet

Wiley from WilyWiley

Oh and LunaBoston... if you haven't already... you must go and check out their incredible selection of shoes and purse. Oh I am telling you, this place is a girl's Dream Come True! Wow!!

I am literally dying for those black boots as I type this post write now...

and OMG!..

How beautiful is this bag?! It is of the new bags in the Spring 2010 collection... and I could not take my eyes off of it the whole day. Can we say Birthday present, please?!

In the end, I could not have asked for a better day!

I enjoyed meeting and talking to everyone. I really hope that we have another Mixer like in the near future; it was so such fun!

P.S. I added a Boston Blogger Roll to my sidebar, so go check out all the other lovely ladies that I met. Yay for Boston Bloggers! ;)
